THE ULTIMATE GIRLS' DAY OUT WITH SEAN'S KITCHEN
Need the perfect place for a catch-up with the girls? Look no further than Girls' Day Out at Sean's Kitchen.
A modern-day twist on the classic High Tea.
A couple of weekends ago, I was lucky enough to be treated to a Girls' Day Out extravaganza at Sean's Kitchen with 3 of my best friends, and boy, it did not disappoint. Not only were the food and drink offerings amazing, the service was absolutely outstanding. You and the girls won’t have to worry about a thing, you’re completely taken care of. The only thing you need to decide on, is which smoothie you want and if you’ll be a little naughty and spike it with a shot. With that, let's get into what the Girls' Day Out had on offer.
Like all good days out (or in) with your besties, we started off with a glass of bubbles. Then came our first and only decision of the day, the Pineapple and Mint or the Coconut and Vanilla Smoothie? I can tell you from experience that there is no wrong answer here. We also decided to get a little naughty and spike them with a shot. Our Pineapple and Mint Smoothies got a shot of vodka and the Coconut and Vanilla Smoothie was spiked with white rum... yum! To quote my girlfriend Ellie; “the smoothies were made whole lot smoother with a cheeky splash of vodka”.
Now onto the food. Let me start by saying that Sean's Kitchen were amazing at catering for the vegetarian in the group, she got her own full meal replacements, which is pretty much unheard of. At the end of our savoury course, they even brought out the fan-favourite Orgy of Mushrooms Ricotta Gnocchi, which was an awesome surprise.
Okay, back to the omnivores; we started with the Blue Swimmer Crab Sandwiches and a Chicken Liver and Foie Gras Parfait, which were just insanely good. Then we moved onto two of my all-time favourites at Sean's; the Heirloom Tomato Salad, which is super refreshing, and the delicious, crowd-favourite Popcorn Cauliflower. If you’ve never tried the cauliflower before, you need to go right now. The final savoury course was the Waldorf ‘Moderne’ Salad and Fremantle Octopus Salad, adding a bit of greenery to make us feel healthy before tucking into the devilishly decedent desserts.
Just when we thought we couldn’t possibly eat any more food, the desserts came out: Lemon Macarons, Donut Holes, Mexican Paletas (fruit popsicles) and an amazing Strawberry Soft Serve Ice Cream Cone with a raspberry on top.
As you can probably tell from the above, I loved every bit of my Girls' Day Out at Sean’s Kitchen. Don’t just take my word for it, take Maddie’s: “Girls' Day Out was the perfect event. A cheeky prosecco to start, followed by an even cheekier rum-spiked smoothie… What ensued was a taste sensation of crab sandwiches, chicken liver parfait, octopus salad and popcorn cauliflower. Desserts consisting of soft serve, donut holes, macarons and Mexican Paletas were my highlights. If only I left room to eat it all!”
I think Emily summed it up perfectly when she said: “you might walk into Sean’s Kitchen for the Girls' Day Out, but you’ll be rolling out.”
